WE REACHED SIX FIGURES

With the success of our dresses kickoff, we reached the first big milestone in this year's goal to reach one million $ !
I don't know if it's “girl math” or what with how Elegantees is still here, but we're here. I'm not taking a single day for granted. Things are not guaranteed though for when the fall rolls around.
A few days ago, I interviewed a student who is looking for a Fall internship. She's a good fit, but I didn't promise her an internship yet. A lot can happen from now until September when we'd need to renew our loft lease, and when the Fall semester kicks off.
For now I take it one day at a time, looking for opportunities to serve the team. One day I got every one coffee and they all crushed it that day. Not sure if it was the caffeine or my act of service (possibly both!), but I believe serving is my calling as a CEO.
THE SUMMER
The spring semester is completely done within two months, so what's happening this summer break? I think about our interns who are in total sync with my systems and the heart of the brand. Perhaps we could extend their internship past May.
As for me, I intend to go to Nepal, as well as spend a few weeks in Iowa with my family on the farm. Could I really step away from the tasks at the loft for weeks at a time? I can see if some of our team stays this summer.
GOALS, DONATIONS
Remember last week I shared there was a certain really important thing I needed to do? Well, I did it! Now, we're really close to being able to accept donations that are tax deductible.
As of today, our year to date revenue just reached six figures! We're at $100,000. The goal is to get one extra 0 by the time 2026 comes to a close. However, it's not a doom-and-gloom if we don't. Here's why:
- Tariffs are not a huge cost for us anymore.
- We could continue to work with interns.
- Donations could take care of our holistic costs in Nepal.
I'm glad we don't feel pressure to reach the goal, but if we do get one million, we'd reinvest with big dreams. It would bring a ripple effect into Nepal, and wherever else we can help human trafficking survivors. The goal is a motivator for us!
