THIS MONTH HAS BEEN FUN!

I have been busy so I skipped sending Friday updates twice in a row. We're back in the regular rhythm again, and very excited to share what we've been up to!

So many beautiful people have been in our office loft this month already. Lots of creativity, joy and encouragement.

RUNWAY SHOW

Two weeks ago, our models and friends gathered in our office loft for a fashion show that was put together on a two-week notice. It was small and intimate, but truly perfect. Our interns even successfully pivoted when one of our boxes didn't arrive in time. We loved doing the show so much that the next show is already on the calendar for February when New York Fashion Week rolls around again.
One of the highlights was Michele Krick, president of our nonprofit, came in from Pennsylvania to speak in between segments. While the timing for when we'll start building a Restore Room is unknown, the format of the show inspired us for how we could potentially present our ministry. For now, we have hope for all that is to be done.

A SPECIAL SHOOT

Last week was a big photo shoot for the collaboration with Created Colorful. We connected in our office loft for hours while playing dress up. We pranced around the cute neighborhood of SoHo for a content shoot. The collection was then launched, and we're all very proud of it!
When the capsule was first released to the Created Colorful community, I was so encouraged! We saw a lot of new customers ordering. The excitement was strong from everyone who followed our story from behind the scenes up to the launch.
Our team has been having so much fun, and so have I! Everyday I'm living the dream of running a fashion business that gets to be purpose driven. I'm thankful for our interns who enthusiastically show up, deeply grateful for our office loft, and for the hope that is alive!

THE ONE BAD THING...

Tariffs have gone into effect again. The amounts are way higher than the 10% I was assuming it would be, and the shipping companies are overwhelmed. One of our volunteers has been on the phone with UPS for at least 20 hours this month. All this has disheartened other small business friends I know as well. I explained how it's affecting us in more detail in an Instagram highlight (click here).
Since we can't get out of tariffs, we must reach new customers to get through this. We have the passion and grit to give it our all. Praying our efforts pay off!
Thankful,
Katie
