THE NOLITA TEE STORY

“Seeing the joyful faces of the women who make my clothes in dignity and freedom is priceless. I've watched the company grow and pivot through the years to stay true to their mission and values even through immense challenges.”
– Lanita, a supporter who loves the Nolita tee

THE STORY OF NOLITA

When the lockdowns of the year 2020 were looking long-term for Nepal, our inventory was diminishing, and we didn't have a way to bring in money. We had to do something to keep providing for our Nepalese sisters. Then I learned a friend of mine who owned a garment factory in New York City was in need of work. We could help each other out, so we put together the “Waymaker collection”.
This was our shot at a practical solution to sustain our seamstresses. The profits from the NY-made tees would go to Nepal. When the Waymaker tees launched, support rallied in and I cried with joy. The most popular tee was the Nolita. Named after a neighborhood in New York City, it became an immediate favorite! This tee is personal to me because the story is a reminder of the provision of God.
The Nolita tee is back on our website! The backstory is different, but your support will still help our mission. This time, it's made in Nepal by our very own sisters.
