NETWORKING

This week, I socialized with amazing women like Lindsey of Created Colorful. I'm wearing the Esther dress (coming this summer), and a Trades of Hope bag.
I was uplifted this week at an in-person event. Such a blast to dress up on a school night, enter the room in style with a bestie, and chat the night away with new friends.
Oh how we need this more, right? To share your heart, hear others share theirs, exchange wisdom, and compliment each other. If this is what they call networking, sign me up for once a week please!
HEART TO HEART
I especially loved spending more time with Lindsey of Created Colorful. She gets the challenges that female entrepreneurs go through. Without having to go into specifics, we definitely got each other.
Sometimes when I meet people, I don't tell them about Elegantees at first. I want people to know me more than my work. Remove the social media prestige and the business associations, and there's simply a beautiful soul that needs the things any human does.
So blessed that part of my “assignment” is to love people, and shine light in this way in my beloved fashion industry.
UPCOMING COLLAB
When the word collaborate was pressed so deeply as my word of the year for 2025, Lindsey happened to be one of the women on my mind. She's a New Yorker like me, and her fashion expertise is rooted in color analysis. I met her last Fall when she modeled in our fashion show, and I value her authenticity and kindness.
I pitched the idea of creating a fall capsule to her team back in January, and it's happening! Today we'll be meeting up to fit the designs, look at colors, and dream up how to make this a success.
Collaborating seems to be the way for us women to really empower each other. It may also be the only way for us to make it. Marketing is harder than it used to be, but collaborating is still an option. It sure brings joy too!
The main lesson of this story though: when you get the chance to dress up and mingle, do it! Get the sitter, risk your sleep, and drain your introverted energy. It's worth it ;-)
Joyfully,
Katie
