STEP OUTSIDE THE WALLS

Local ladies about to take Elegantees to an event

Lately the question is how to get Elegantees out there more. Perhaps it could be in getting outside of our office space and warehouse. The ladies in the photo are Kristin and Helen, and they are from New Life Fellowship and volunteering at their holiday market this Sunday I'm excited for them to introduce Elegantees to new people, and possibly recruit more local models for us too!

SIX MORE WEEKS

January 26 is when our additional interns for the Spring semester start. Knowing this is helping me stay positive that we may grow. So far, we've had a smaller pool of interns, and they have been mostly assisting me. With a larger team in the Spring, we will have more time to do more things!
I was asked if I get weary doing this. My answer surprisingly was only a positive reply. I've been rejuvenated since we got the loft and some interns. I have the gift of teaching so seeing my gifts being used is uplifting for me, and I believe I'll be delegating A LOT in the spring!

Last Friday, I shared that I was seeking wisdom to be able to lead our team for the best of the company. Can I make the semester a good experience for the interns and make Elegantees more money? I've felt led to work on the next 3-4 collections right now, and also map out the dates on the calendar for all the things. This should help me to delegate the best! Seeking more wisdom, confidence, and action steps from the rest of these six weeks. Then we are full blown company with departments in our New York City headquarters. What is this dream I am living? So thankful!

STORYTELLING

I share behind the scenes photos of what we're doing in New York, but we want to do the same for Nepal. I'm working on getting a Nepalese creative to visit the sewing center weekly and capture behind the scenes. Trying to find the right person, so keep that in your prayers for me!
I know many of you are here because of our ministry to help survivors. Seeing the impact of your support, even if it's just knowing there is a smile on someone's face today, reassures you in your purchases. It's important we keep the passion alive through storytelling from Nepal. One of our Spring interns is joining specifically for this reason, so having the Nepalese creative lined up to work with her is something I'm hoping for!

Thank you for reading along. It means so much that you're in this with us.
Grateful, Katie
