OUR BIG TEAM IS HERE

I love to wear elegantees as work wear. The Devon blouse is a new favorite!

There's a renewed spirit behind the scenes!
Interns have been coming to our loft regularly, and it's thrilling to go to work each day to be with them. I've been adjusting to the role as CEO quite well too! I'm delegating to them one thing at a time.

A BIG TEAM

Next week is when the social media and marketing focused interns will be starting. Their passion, combined with a team effort, should be exactly what we need to grow. On Wednesdays, there will be ten of us inside the loft!
I love seeing the office filled to its capacity. I didn't intend to get a space that is 1,000 square feet (quite big for NYC standards, if you ask me!), but the room to grow is a motivator for me to actually imagine growth. Even as of now, there will be ten of us here at one time on Wednesdays. We do need this 1,000 square feet after all!

In my last update sharing how I am choosing to hustle less hours each week, I asked “How can we exceed what we did in 2025, if I'm doing, well, less?” I believe in this team, and they will do it. Hopefully I can delegate well.

PRAYER REQUESTS

With next week being when most of the interns are starting, I'd like to journal out some of my desires for the Spring semester. Please pray for me if you do pray.

  1. For me to be a leader that is worth serving beside. Specifically, to be patient during training, encouraging with praise, and gentle with feedback.
  2. For the office loft to be a place of rest from the hustle of New York City. A safe place to find comfort, creativity and friendships.
  3. To build confidence as a CEO to create a structured environment, and to know what to delegate and to whom.
  4. To remember our million dollar goal for this year.  Having a goal is important so we continue to take action. It's helpful for me to do tangible projects each month, so we can give it the best shot.
  5. For the nonprofit to come together soon so we can start to accept tax-deductible donations. This will really help fill the gaps in the finances, particularly with certain needs in Nepal.
  6. For our remote volunteers to find joy in their labor. They are even more passionate about the million dollar goal than me. May they endure in their projects and for their strategies to bear fruit.
  7. That everyone will see hope and meaning that is a part of Elegantees, especially our seamstresses and interns. That I also share about the faith that changed my own life to give me hope too.

With Joy, Katie
