MEETING IN MINNESOTA
For those in Minnesota, I showed up for Founder Friday IN REAL LIFE!
I ended up in a small town known as Stillwater, Minnesota. It was charming enough to be a set for a Hallmark romance movie, so I made sure my wedding ring was obvious. Those handsome hunks in flannel shirts needed to know this fashion designer from New York City was not available for a love story.
REALITY
It was a ladies only weekend. We stayed up late with good food and inspiring conversations. Each morning, I woke up early to prep the clothing for the fashion shoot. Very little sleep, but so worth it!
Supporters of Minnesota met us to model for our next collection. This was after our first group, so it's not even everyone! I'm still in awe that many women showed up for this.
THE FASHION SHOOT
While hosting Elegantees Next Top Model in Minnesota, we discovered top talent. My favorite part was everyone spoke over each other in how beautiful they looked. A brand value for Elegantees is to encourage models so they'll have a real smile. I love knowing that our models felt beautiful every time I look back at them on the website.
For the record, we tried to be as low key as possible. Using phones as cameras did reassure the public that we weren't shooting for an actual Hallmark movie.
