DOING THIS OFFICE THING!

Can't stop thinking about a literal open door in New York City!
I mentioned that all is well. I'm thankful for this, but there is no growth when you're comfortable. This week we took some steps! Our volunteers and myself personally connected with some of you this week because we need help to take some risks. We're thankful because we are hearing from some that support is coming!
The next step is to get an office space for this fall to invite interns back into Elegantees. A space will give us structure and efficiency that doesn't come naturally when we were mostly remote.
NYC ON MY HEART
My heart has grown for the younger generation in the fashion industry. Every day, I think about how I'd love to train and mentor them. I imagine this in an office because physical collaboration is better than electronic supervision. I will train them in design, production, photography, and marketing. The cherry on top is their success should open more job opportunities in Nepal.
I have something to offer young adults entering the fashion world. When I was in their shoes, I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer, but much of the fashion industry conflicts with morals. I didn't have a mentor to walk me through the darkness, and sometimes I walked the wrong way. I would like to share my personal experiences and wisdom with those who were once in my shoes.
I'm actively looking for an office space in NYC now so we can be ready for the fall semester. I'm asking for help to cover this dream.
First we're needing a grant (or a bunch of donations) for an office space. In the year, we should see an increase in our budget because the collaborations that flow out of the office will yield more orders. After a year, we can expect that Elegantees will be able to cover the rent.
Some women have already said yes to helping this dream come true. Would you like to as well? Even a small donation would help!
With Hope,
Katie
