A NEW THING

This photo was in my camera roll yesterday. It's got nothing to do with today's topic, but it's pretty so why not? Some colors coming this year!
DELEGATION
My word for 2026 is delegate. Last week I shared that the success of Elegantees this year will depend on if I can be an effective leader or not. I love that someone replied and told me it's actually more dependent on grace, so don't take on that pressure thinking the success is on me. She's right. So this year I'm going in full of joy and trust!
Look at what is happening. I rejoice in all the good I see around me!
EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND
We opened a job for a creative in Nepal to stop into our sewing center to take photos and videos. Every time we share anything from Nepal, the posts get more traction than our regular fashion content. The joy of our sisters is a beautiful reminder to all of us in why Elegantees is different. Getting that message out is needed for reaching new customers.
Directing and capturing this with creativity requires someone with talent. Another need is to keep the footage organized and accessible.
Then comes Raymond. He's a recent high school graduate in Nepal, and I chuckled at his resume. For skills, he included 'better in most of the sports.' He sure beat me there because I struck out every time when I played softball as a kiddo.
I told Raymond his athletics will come in handy because not everyone can balance a lunge without moving their feet. That's the best way to stabilize an iPhone to get a smooth frame. Let's just say he nailed it! I watched all his footage so far and did not feel dizzy.
For round two of Raymond's visit, he focused on trying to get the ladies to laugh a bit. Sewing can give a serious thinking face, so he asked them to step from the machine as well to make fun transitions.
He's a great young man. Eager to make photography a job, and very self-starting. I love Raymond, the sisters love Raymond, and I think everybody will love Raymond after you see his work. Can't wait to share it in the upcoming months!
Excited for 2026 with newness in many areas. I hope you're feeling the same in your life that this is a time to put on new clothes of joy, hope, and choosing to give everything your best. Don't forget what I needed a reminder of too, which is let God do the rest (that's where the grace comes in).

Happy new year!
Katie
