2026 VISION

Our office loft in Brooklyn is ready for big things in 2026!
I've been reflecting on my word of the year for 2026. I'm getting ideas already.
2025 WAS COLLABORATE
As a recap, this year's word has been collaborate. Seeing this as my assignment has helped me to focus on trying new things and confirming that this office space made sense. Even now, going into the last month of this year, I will be wrapping up the final ideas for collaborating.
Collaboration in a company like ours is an ongoing thing, but knowing it was the word for 2025 was a helpful guide. Whenever I felt stuck, I knew where to focus. Doing things with people brought more meaning, and it kept the fire alive.
FOR 2026...
I have an idea of how the year will start. When the Spring semester begins, there will be 16 interns with us. This is triple of how many we have this Fall! It will add up to nearly 2,000 hours, as they all meet the requirements for their college credit. I'm in awe! Will we stay a small business with these extra 2,000 hours?
From meeting each intern, I am convinced they are all eager to get things done and they desire to work hard. They believe in our mission and want to contribute their talents. Their joy is an incredible gift that every manager dreams about. I've never lead a team so large before. We'll have a few departments, based on the different majors: Design and Product Development, Internal Content Campaigns, and Collaborative Marketing. I might start finally introducing myself as the CEO instead of the Founder….
The word for 2026 is probably going to be delegate. It's ever so clear to me that delegation must happen. The majority of my workday will probably be teaching instead of doing things. To prepare, I better write out all the things I do at the company, plan manuals and structure to teach others how to do them.
THE OFFICE LOFT
Back in August when we were looking at office spaces, there were two options on the market. One was in my budget but it was only 200 sq ft. The other, which we are in now, is 1000 sq ft. Thanks to your support to offset the higher rent, we could get the bigger space. Back then, a part of me wondered if there was any way to do a smaller space to be wiser with the money. This loft was our only option though, and I'm glad we are here now.
I look around and I see a dream come true. Especially when our interns will all be here. Each one shared they can't wait to create in this space. Some days we'll have 8 of us here at one time! The 1000 sq ended up being necessary then! God knew it, as no other door than this one was opening.
I have more to share about what all this means for our mission to fight human trafficking. I'll wait until next week though. In the meantime, know that I am deeply appreciative of all your support in making this dream come true!
Much Love,
Katie
