FRONT ROW SEAT

I got to connect with Michaela, a young lady whose heart is for Nepal. She's been wondering what her next steps are in life. She only received a vision: Do something with business, and be surrounded by women that have been through unbearable things. It was a clear vision, but she questioned it as anyone would.

Then Michaela and I got to go deeper in conversation just recently. As I shared our plan for the Restore Room, everything was pointing back in her mind to the vision from months prior.

For years I've desired a like-minded westerner to be in Nepal on my behalf. I feel called to stay in New York City, but there is a whole ministry in Nepal that requires a team. Who could go there though? Everything we have been needing is in Michaela. Actually, she's capable of more than I could have imagined. I didn't do anything rigorous to find her. She was just a friend of one of our models who told me about her.

I definitely think that hard work pays off, but some things don't have to be earned. I've been feeling that way lately. These things that feel like gifts are things that I rejoice with gratitude for!

With Michaela, we're all praying for it to be clear on next steps. Our nonprofit board, myself, and Michaela are meeting in eleven days to reconnect on where our hearts are being led.

In the meantime, another large donation has been sent to Sewn to Restore! I am humbled. You know, I've been 'failing' to do my job in fundraising. Instead, I chose to be the mom my daughter needs right now. I felt deeply loved when God assured me with the words 'Take care of your daughter, and I'll take care of the rest.'

He has been by bringing Michaela, and more resources to be ready. I've been watching, but not from a distance. All these miracles are happening in front of me. I'm seated in the front row in live time, as it's all unfolding.

The fall semester starts this Monday, and interns will be in our loft again. I am very excited! There are clearer goals in mind, and I'm starting with more experience in knowing how Gen Z operates. I can better delegate this time around.

We have six interns this semester, and a supervisor who will be in on the days I won't. Also, my daughter for sure will be home-schooled this year. Since she wants to learn about art and fashion, she'll join us at the loft the days I'm there too. The fall semester will be lit!

We all have a front row seat to watch many gifts unfold. I hope you can reflect on those in your life also because of the joy that gratitude brings. We're all walking in something we once prayed for. Let's rejoice in those miracles, and dance with delight and awe!
