CAPABLE IS THE WORD

Some of our newest tops

Telling myself this is going to be OUR SUMMER! Going to Nepal, catching up on things, and putting it all in for the marketing stuff.

DELEGATE

Two years ago, I was sitting in a room where I shared my story. I was glad to because I felt it could help others who struggled with what I overcame. I also shared how my own redemption story led me to start Elegantees.
On that day, a group of Christians prayed for me and for Elegantees out loud. It was so kind and encouraging. One lady said something that I haven't forgotten. She said with confidence that the day will come soon when there will be many people working for me, and they would also be capable.
That's a word that struck a cord: capable. When people are still learning and not fully dedicated, it can sometimes take more effort for me than going solo. I felt stuck and unable to grow. But when people show how capable they are, a true delegation is possible, and anything is actually possible!
Seems to me like the declaration that lady made has come through! Everyone that is helping me right now are capable, and they are finding areas we could tap into. They are doing those things on their own, like the text messages we're sending out now. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for our team, for the potential we have, and the hope for the continuation and thriving of Elegantees.

STEPPING FORWARD

A lot has been delegated successfully, that there is time for me to do what I'm most passionate about: product development and connecting with all of you!
I actually really enjoy sharing the process on Instagram/Facebook. When I don't have a bunch of busy work to do, I can get in the mode and it gets fun!
On Tuesday, I recorded a video of me taking about all the new designs. I was bummed though when I realized the audio didn't get picked up. Then I thought, “I can re-record and this time, add more energy to it!”
That's what I did yesterday, and the videos are rolling out through this weekend on @elegantees and @eleganteesfounder. It's been a blast to share the process with all of you on social media. Lots of laughter, especially when I almost tripped over a rack that I walked backwards into.
As I'm doing social media again like it's my job, I'm also hoping it can pay off and help us get to the big goal for this year. If it doesn't, I'm at least having fun with it, and the best part is you are too! Love the community we have.

PRACTICE FOR NEPAL?

We'll be in Nepal in a month, and sharing all about our experience there. It will be the best trip ever! Can't wait to take you “backstage” when Steph and I travel there.
I'm off to chaperone a field trip for my daughter's class, so gotta cut this short! I would love to see you over on Instagram though as we post more content this weekend.
Optimistic,
Katie
